Zify is a rideshare app, helping people to make their commute and daily life, overall, easier.
The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainable initiative.
Zify and the UN are partners in order to make the world greener and better.
The UN Global Compact aims to mobilise a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create a better and sustainable world. A rideshare app company such as Zify meet these requirements and is certainly helping to create a greener world by helping to reduce CO2 emissions.
To make this happen, the UN Global Compact supports companies to:
1) Do business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption; and
2) Take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
Ten Principles of UN Global Compact
Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights;
Principle 2: Make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.
Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
The Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) program provides a powerful aspiration for improving the world — laying out where the businesses collectively need to go and how to get there in order to make our city smarter and more eco-friendly.
Over the next five years, and up to the 2030 marker, the UN Global Compact aims to shift corporate mindsets and models everywhere in order to complete SDG program.
But to reach the destination, UN needs the navigators and individuals who can turn goals and principles into concrete actions. That is the reason why Zify decided to join its forces to this project, since the rideshare app company believes the future of mobility needs to change in order to make cities greener and smarter to reduce CO2 emissions that are damaging our world.

Overall, the partnership between the rideshare app company and the UN is a great thing for both structures. It gives better visibility about the carpool industry for Zify and it helps the UN to spread out the word about environment and the importance to reduce CO2 emissions for a greener and better world. The UN program confirms we need to use a rideshare app to share and get a ride with other commuters.
